The M&P Group has received the planning contract from Hochtief for the new Burstah Ensemble construction in Hamburg. The aim: a harmonious overall concept.
A new site for residences, restaurants, retail and offices is being built on the former site of the insurer Allianz on Großer Burstah. The plot totals around 7,500 m2, in which a total of €250 million is to be invested.
A total of 44,000 m² of above-ground gross floor area and a three-storey underground car park with 210 parking spaces are to be built. The property, owned by Großer Burstah Immobilien GmbH, is located in the heart of the city of Hamburg and holds great potential. The attractiveness of the location is to be ensured through a good mix of innovative and sophisticated retail and restaurant concepts.
M&P is taking over the planning of the building services engineering as of work phase 5. The aim is to develop a harmonious overall concept that considers the various requirements holistically and makes use of synergetic effects. For example, whether several small systems can be merged into one large one in order to save space is being examined. The aim is to make the very most of the available area in this way.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2020 and be completed by the end of 2022.
