KSG Hannover is the leading housing company in the Hanover region. For seven decades, the company has been keeping its customers happy as a lessor with its own portfolio of approx. 7,800 apartments and, as a service provider, supports apartment owners’ associations in the management of their real estate. In addition, as a project and property developer, it implements tailored real estate solutions for a variety of uses. With urban planning, KSG also supports the municipalities of the region with all urban development matters.
Management of operational processes
KSG uses DKB-Win from DKB-Service GmbH to control its operational processes. This ASP solution offers an all-encompassing solution for the real estate industry – from A for asset accounting to Z for zoning permit. When KSG wanted to add to the DKB-Win solution to optimise its construction cost controlling and warranty management, it looked for a solution on the market and found it at M&P BEGIS GmbH. With this solution, which was completely integrated into SAP, it was not only possible to fully meet the requirements for construction cost controlling, but also those in the area of warranty management in particular. In the implementation project, the aforementioned consultant modules were integrated into the ASP solution from DKB Service. This was made possible by applications in its own namespace, which ensure a high degree of upgradeability.
The customer specifications for the defined structure of the construction project and cost structures, the evaluation and tracking of construction costs and the ordering and invoicing of construction services were optimally implemented in the area of construction cost controlling. Archiving the construction file of the construction project, generating the building structure for the operating phase and warranty tracking are further effective processes that have been implemented to ensure smooth daily operations.
Intuitive usability
KSG Hannover achieved a high level of user acceptance through the introduction of the above-mentioned BEGIS consultant modules. The advantages include the intuitive operation of the individual components and tools, the high degree of automation through automated entry of business transactions running in the background, streamlining of processes through complete integration into the SAP system and connection of the functionalities to the SAP standard functions. An ideal overview is provided by flexible document creation through the integration of KSG-specific Office documents with dynamically integrated content as well as the mapping and traceability of business processes in just one system. KSG is now able to monitor construction costs and warranty management at all times thanks to controlling on the basis of hierarchical construction project structures.
